This book by a Cypriot author, Yiannos Lambis, is one of the most powerful books I have read over the past few years. Whilst it is truly harrowing, it is also a statement of what is happening to some children right now as we speak. I feel t...hat - although the content is dark and can break your heart - we as individuals have to know what is going on. I have read this book in Greek which is the original language in which it was written, and I was impressed by the beauty of the poetic language which Yiannos skilfully employed to express the horrific events and consequences for the children of the disgraceful practice of trafficking of individuals for exploitation. Yiannos impressively holds back in his descriptions of the violent nature of the business he is dealing with, using poetry to paint powerfully the destruction of the children's lives and the devastation of their emotional integrity. This book is certainly a must for the professionals in the field of education, social sciences, psychology and such like. Please share the information on this book which has now appeared in Britain in its English translation.
